Hours of work: 1.5 days work per annum, including attendance at 2 Trustee meetings per year
Role type: Voluntary
Traidcraft is a Christian response to poverty. We are one of the UK’s leading fair trade organisations (through our trading arm Traidcraft plc) and a development agency (Traidcraft Exchange) specialising in wider approaches to reducing poverty through trade. The Traidcraft Foundation holds a Guardian Share in Traidcraft plc and as founder member of Traidcraft Exchange, appoints all its trustees. Thus enabled, the Foundation is able to protect and advance the vision, mission and Christian identity of Traidcraft.
We are currently seeking to identify two new Foundation Trustees, ideally with either a strong academic background and/or expertise in international trade and development / social justice issues. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a passion for Traidcraft’s mission, and to comply with our governance requirements must also be practising Christians.
It is expected that the role will involve about 1.5 days’ work per annum, including attendance at 2 Trustee meetings per year.
